KIA ORA/GREETINGS TO ALL PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

The Production is looking amazing and I’m looking forward to seeing you all there tonight!  Just a couple of reminders for the night.

All children need to be at their classrooms at 5.30pm to prepare.

The school has provided some nibbles but all children will need a water bottle.

All children will need to be picked up from their classrooms for their own safety.  If someone else is taking your child home please notify the school.

Turua School Values

Please list the values that you would like to see us concentrating on for your child in order of importance.

SWIMMING POOL KEYS

These will be available from the office next week for $50.  The pool will be ready from Monday 21st January.

PRIZE GIVING

Time is passing very quickly and our annual Prize Giving is fast approaching.  Our Prize Giving is held in the School Hall and will begin promptly at 1.00pm.  It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the hard work of both our students and teachers.  After Prize Giving there will be time for a cup of tea or coffee and a mingle with other parents.  All parents are asked to bring a plate to share.  Children are welcome to go home with parents and we just ask that parents let their teacher know.

LEAVERS DINNER

Next week is our annual Leavers Dinner for the year 8 students.  For some of our families it will be the first time they have attended while for others it is sadly the last time they will be attending.  I am sure the evening will be enjoyed by all as it is a very special night with the opportunity to celebrate our students many achievements in their time at Turua.

There will be individual presentations for each student and a guest speaker as well as photo session opportunities to ensure the evening is memorable.

PET DAY

A big thank you to those parents who supported their children by arranging for them to bring their pets for the morning.  Our students enjoyed showing then off.

Next week invoices will be emailed for outstanding accounts.  Please ensure these are paid in full by the 31st December so they do not show on our accounting system as bad debts.  If you are having difficulty paying your account please come and see Maree to discuss payment options.

Our bank account details are on the bottom of the invoice. Please use your child’s surname as a reference.

LIBRARY BOOKS

LOOK UNDER THE BED….. DOWN THE BACK OF THE COUCH ……. IN THE DOG KENNEL….. IN THE SCHOOL BAG….. SCHOOL HATS

A new order of school hats has arrived. Unfortunately these have increased in price to $15.00.  We sell them to you for the same amount we pay for them, as we do the school shirts.
