KIA ORA/GREETINGS TO ALL PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

Like you I am still struggling to come to terms with what has happened in Christchurch. As a family I am sure you will have spent some time working through this terrible happening together.

Below are the links sent out on Monday in our alert notifications that may help you if you wish to have any conversations at home with your children:

A reminder too of the importance of ensuring emergency contact details are up to date.  These can be checked on the @school portal or ring Maree in the office.

TRYATHLON

A big thank you to Hayley and Natasha who organised such a fabulous event for our students.  What a super effort by all of our students! Just a reminder that bikes need to be picked up now if families have not already done so.

THANK YOU

This week we received 10 new chrome books for our students.  A big thank you to our PTA who funded these with proceeds from the chick flicks.  The school being able to supply students with devices is certainly a saving for parents,so please put your name forward to support our PTA.  It really only takes half an hour of your time and would be very much appreciated.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB

Flyers went home this week.  Can we please have all orders and payments into the office by Friday 22 March or alternatively order through the Book Clubs online loop.

WE ARE HOPING FOR AN EGGCEPTIONAL RESPONSE TO…

The super delicious although probably not nutritious PTA EASTER RAFFLE.

Children were given raffle tickets sheets yesterday, and there will be more available at the office.  Don’t forget there is a prize for the most tickets sold.

As per usual we ask for a donation of an Easter egg or Easter item from each family to make up the raffle.  There are usually several prizes to spread the winnings. Donations can be dropped into the office at any time.

Thanks in advance we appreciate your continued support.

If you have any queries or need me to eggsplain anything about how the raffle runs please give me a call.

Q: What do you call an egg who travels around the world?
A: An eggs-plorer.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

As you know we always run the programme during the 2nd week of the holidays.

This means due to Easter being in the middle of the holidays we will only be running on: Tuesday 23rd April, Wednesday 24th April and Friday 26th April.  We are closed on the 25th as that is ANZAC Day.

We realise that due to the short working week, parents may take advantage of this to take time off.  Therefore to enable us to plan/organise staff, it is vital that you let us know as soon as possible if your are going to book your children in.  Please let Maree or the ASC staff know by Tuesday 26th March.

Thanks

Megan Way.
