KIA ORA/GREETINGS TO ALL PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

Let’s hope the weather fines up for Monday for our annual Cross Country.  We start the event at 1.00pm with students having their lunch earlier at 12 noon.  Parents are welcome to take their children home after the event and are reminded to let their teacher know.  The course is going to be muddy I’m sure so please ensure your child has a towel and spare clothes.  We look forward to seeing you there.

LIBRARY BOOKS

Just a reminder that our fabulous library is open to all students with a great range of books for all ages.  Our lovely librarian Merren continually updates the selection with new books that she processes.  As classes visit the library regularly to issue books, students are encouraged to take them home to enjoy the opportunity to read for themselves or with family.  If you are concerned that your child is not bringing these home please feel free to message teachers so that they are able to monitor this.  Our library is a great resource to support reading and we love to see it fully utilised.

We would like to thank the PTA who have subsidized the cost of this trip by $10.00 per child.

CALF CLUB NEWS

Entry forms and Calf Club Guides are now available in the office. If you have taken an entry form but didn’t pick up the guide please come and get one from the desk in the office.

Don’t forget we will be doing the DIY farm animals competition again this year, so get the family together and come up with a plan.

SPARE CLOTHES PLEASE!!!

With this very unpredictable weather of sunshine and pouring rain our school grounds are very muddy.

It is lots of fun playing in the mud we know, BUT it isn’t much fun sitting in class in wet clothing getting colder and colder.

Please, Please put a complete change of clothes in your child’s bag each day, so that we do not need to ring you to bring spares.

Even if your child is not playing in the mud if they fall over anywhere they get wet!

ACCOUNTS

All families with amounts owing should have received an email of their account in the last week of last term. Many thanks to those who have paid these accounts or set up automatic payments. Accounts can be viewed through the e-tap portal.

We still have some outstanding activity fees and some trip & sport fees outstanding.

If you could please pay these or set up an automatic payment to cover it would be much appreciated.

If you would like an update of your account please speak to Maree in the office.

Riddle me a Riddle

Last week: I am not alive, but I grow; I don’t have lungs, but I need air; I don’t have a mouth, but water kills me. What am I?

Answer: Fire.

Congratulations to Erin Staples

This week: What disappears as soon as you say its name?

(I’m going to make them harder each week, you lot are far too clever).
