Kia ora koutou,
I do hope you enjoyed the extra day for labour weekend. The weather is trying hard to settle with temperatures warming up. Please remind  your learners to have their bucket/broad brimmed sun hat at school to keep them protected from the sun when outdoors.

Thank you to those families who have returned their Bible in School survey.  It is still not too late to have your say.  Please return your survey to the office with your views.

Turua School Survey on Bible in Schools

There have been some unusual students in classrooms at Turua today!

I am sure our senior students are looking forward to their Halloween Disco tonight.  A reminder that the Disco starts at 6.00pm and finishes at 7.30pm.  Parents/Caregivers must come into the hall to pick up their children.  If you wish your children to walk home or be picked up by another parent please make sure that you have informed their classroom teacher.

The cost for the Disco is $3 and there will be drinks, food and treats available.

 NGATEA CHRISTMAS PARADE

The end of the year is fast approaching as the events start to pile up.  Unfortunately this year the Ngatea Christmas Parade is on the same night as our Leavers Dinner meaning our teachers will be unable to attend the Christmas Parade.  Do we have any parents who would like to coordinate a float for the Turua School students?  If so please contact us at school.

ATHLETICS

Our school Athletics event will be held on Wednesday 6th November starting at 11.00am.  We will have a lunch break at approximately 12.30pm. All children will be participating in the organised rotations so suitable clothing and sunhat are required.  All family/whanau are welcome to come and join us on the day.  (The save day is Friday 8th November.)

Kaitaki will be selling ice blocks at lunch as a fundraiser for $1.
