KIA ORA/GREETINGS TO OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Welcome to spring!  I hope that everyone is enjoying rearing their animals for Calf Club.  A reminder that entry forms are in the office if you haven’t already entered.  Preschoolers are also invited to enter their event on the day.  Please email the school or submit an entry form if you have a preschooler wanting to participate.

MOBILE PHONES

Just a reminder to parents that students who really need to bring a mobile phone to school may leave it with their teacher or the office to pick up after school.  This is in line with our school policy for keeping everyone and their property safe.  If a student does not comply with this teachers will hold their phone safely until a parent is able to pick it up.

WHATS BEEN HAPPENING AT TURUA SCHOOL?

On Tuesday we were a little short of teachers.  A big thank you to Kaitaki who were assisting with the teaching of maths to Te Wheke!

Envelopes were sent home on Monday.

Each envelope has a unique code for each child, so if you are ordering please return an envelope for each of your children. Payment can go in one envelope but note on it who it is paying for.

If you haven’t received an envelope, check the school bag, then with the class teacher and if no luck send your child to the office to get a replacement.  If you have a replacement envelope you cannot pay by internet banking as  they cannot match children and payment with a replacement envelope.

Sibling envelopes are at the office, please ask your child to come and collect one.

GARDEN TO TABLE

Could we please have any spare clean glass jars or bottles with lids to Mangōpare class as they will be making syrups, pickles and preserves for Calf Club.

The lost property pile is so high it has snow on the top!

The lost property is kept in the hall, so please ask your child to check it if they are missing an item of clothing. Remember it is easier to reunite your child with their belongings if they are ………………!
