It was wonderful to see so many of our families attending the School Athletics event on Monday.  A big thank you to Amy Rakich for organising such a great event. Consent forms have already gone out to those students selected for participation in the Hauraki Plains Athletics Day next week.  Good luck to all our Turua Students.

Bevin Jenkinson from Bev’s Cracking Shots was onsite during Calf Club and was photographing students and their animals.  These can be viewed on the link below.  The originals can be purchased for $5 from Bevin.

We are about to empty the pool and get it prepared for painting.  If you would like to have some of the tadpoles before we empty the pool please contact Mrs Benny to make a time to collect them.  Mrs Benny will be available from 10.00am to 11.00am this Saturday but please contact her to let her know you will be coming.

Congratulations to our team of parents led by Estelle who organised the very successful Group Day event.  A special thank you to our senior students who were the ribbon runners for the day too.  It was particularly hot!!

Congratulations to our students who participated on the day with their animals.  TURUA SCHOOL WAS AWARDED THE MCGOWAN CUP FOR THE MOST SCHOOL POINTS OVERALL.

If your child is being collected by someone else i.e. Granny, or going somewhere different after school i.e. home with a friend, then we need to know – from the parent not the child.
These safety measures are in place for the safe keeping of your children.
We have had a lot of unnotified absences lately.  This means the office has to ring the caregiver of the child absent to check on their whereabouts and ensure they are safe.  If we ring and  leave a message asking why your child is away  and you don’t get back to us we will mark your child as truant.
Absences can be advised via absence line, note, email or on our website.
Also please let us know if your child is going to be away on a certain day – we  need to know the reason for this absence from the parent  not just hear it the day before from the child.
