TURUA WEARABLE ARTS

Our students have been busy planning their entries in our end of year Wearable Arts Event.  All classes are participating and parents are invited to come along and view the entries on the 3rd December from 5.30pm.  If the weather is fine we will hold it outside and families are invited to bring along a rug and a picnic for an early tea while viewing.  The PTA will be firing up the barbeque and cooking burgers to sell too!  More details a little closer to the time.

MOBILE PHONES

During the school day, children are not allowed to have mobile phones in school. They are expensive and we do not want children to have the responsibility of looking after them. There is no reason why a child should need one during the school day.

However, we do understand that parents of children who travel to and from sporting practices etc on their own, may want their child to be able to contact them.

If this is the case, please advise the office and students can hand them into the office in the morning and pick them up at the end of the day. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage caused to your child’s phone whilst it is in our office.

PARKING AT SCHOOL

Just a reminder that parents are not to pick up or drop off children in the bus bay on Raratuna Street.  Several times of late the bus has had to wait for parents to move their cars before they can enter the bus bay.
