Unfortunately Kaitaki had to postpone their trip to Rainbows End yesterday due to all the weather alerts for Auckland.  Just a reminder that this is now taking place next Wednesday at the same time.

Next week our students are presenting their wearable art entries.  Classes have been working hard on their interpretation of wearable art and each class will be judged on their creativity and use of materials. (Ika Iti are doing a group item) We will begin the competition at 5.30pm outside if it is fine.  Bring along your picnic blanket and camera to enjoy the show.  You can also bring along your own tea or purchase a yummy burger $5 or sausage$2 from our PTA. Burgers can be pre-ordered and paid for at the office from Monday 30 November.

Our pool is starting to look fantastic.  A big thank you to Hayden Rakich, Aaron Short, James Klaricich, and Kira Karena for an outstanding job of painting the pool on Saturday. They volunteered a full day of their time to upgrade our pool for our school community. It looks absolutely fabulous!

We would also like to acknowledge Exterior Surface Cleaners for getting the pool clean and ready for painting.

I Went Hiking

By Keaton

I wanted to go hiking so I got my stuff ready. I got my camera and just left at 9:00PM. When I got to the place I set up my tent and went to bed. I woke up and went hunting and I found a bear! I was so scared I videoed it and posted it but the bear saw me and waved so I took a photo and I got famous. Me and the bear became friends. I had to go but the bear started to cry. I didn’t want to go but  I had work and a family… So I promised to come back every Sunday and that’s my story. Thanks for reading this. When you see a bear don’t be scared…

There are quite a lot of overdue books. The Library will be closed for the year from 30 November and all books must be returned by then. If your child is registered as having been issued a book and it is not returned by  December 4th you will be invoiced for the cost of replacement.

Today we received a wonderful donation of plants and seeds for our school garden from Aeroview Garden Centre. Thank you so much for your generous donation which was received with much excitement by our gardening team.

Don’t forget to return your order form to school with payment if you wish to have a personalized calendar made up.

Thank you to all the families that have returned their forms and paid. If you have not please send them along to school ASAP.

Everyone should have received a catalogue by now.  If not check with your class teacher.

There are lots of lovely books that would make great gifts and summer reading.
