COMMUNITY NOTICES

Kia ora koutou

With the end of the term upon us, we are happy to be offering a fun holiday programme at all our libraries, for children aged 5 – 12 years.

The programme will run from 2pm to 4pm,  Monday 19 April – Friday 30 April (excluding weekends and Monday 26 April when we will be closed for Anzac Day).

The programme will include a range of activities such as creating a car, plane or other STEM activity, learning to knit, and doing brick construction challenges with our supply of LEGO.

We would appreciate it if you would let your school whanau know about the programme, and invite them to join the fun.

Children do not have to be library members to participate however they are welcome to join. Information about joining the library can be found on our website: https://library.hauraki-dc.govt.nz/how-to/join-the-library/

If any of your students have been participating in our Term one reading challenge please remind them that the last day to hand their completed challenge in to one of our libraries is Friday 16 April.  We will have a new reading challenge available for Term Two and welcome your students to participate. It is a great way to encourage a positive reading culture.
