Grandparents are invited on Friday 9.15am to come along to the character parade being held in the hall, after which there will be a light morning tea provided by the Garden to Table Group.

Grandparents are then welcome to visit their grandchild in their classroom and to take them to peruse the books in the fair.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Ariana Peke for her awesome netball umpiring achievement.  Ariana has gained certification in order to umpire at senior center and tournament level.  The photo is taken at the Thames Valley Year 9 and U16’s netball tournament.

Ariana has also qualified to umpire at the North Island Nationals in Taranaki in July.  It is wonderful to see talent developing talent and one of our student’s aspirations coming true as Ariana would love to umpire the Silver Ferns one day!  Mīharo Ariana!

GARDEN TO TABLE

This week in Garden to Table our tamariki have been maintaining the school gardens and learning how to grow healthy brassica and pea plants. Our student chefs have been making tasty green vege fritters as well as making tasty morning tea loaves and scrolls for Grandparents Day on Friday.
