KIA ORA/GREETINGS TO ALL PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

Well the weather has certainly turned wintery and there’s plenty of mud already!  Please pack a spare set of clothes into bags incase of accidents.  We are also doing a shout out for some spare clothes for the junior department if families have some that they could donate.(Particularly warm pants)

Yesterday our year 8 students travelled to Hamilton to participate in the National Young Leaders Day.  A BIG THANK YOU to Valley Toyota in Thames and the Rural Women’s group in supporting our students to attend.  Your generosity is much appreciated!

GARDEN TO TABLE

This week Mangōpare had a solo session with Garden to Table where they used cabbage and other garden veges to make yummy Okonomiyaki or Japanese pancakes. They also made pumpkin brownies and enjoyed getting a serving of veges as dessert! Give the recipes a try at home. Gardeners were busy weeding the garden beds and feeding our seedlings with worm tea. A couple kids were also hard at work turning our compost heaps for use in our garden. Ka pai to mahi! Good work!
