KIA ORA/GREETINGS TO ALL PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

Suddenly it is our last week for term 2 and we hope that everyone has a well earned break.  Please remember that we are having a special assembly at 9.15 am tomorrow in Kaitaki to present our Citizen of the Term and Attendance awards.  All parents are welcome.  A print out of Mid Year Reports will be distributed tomorrow afternoon.  These reports will also be available online through the @school portal.  We welcome parents along to interviews on Thursday 5th August to discuss goals and achievements for the coming terms.

PARKING REQUEST We have been asked by Murphy Buses to remind parents not to park in the Bus Bay as the bus has had to offload children on the road with cars parked in the allocated area.  Thank you for your assistance with keeping our students safe.

HEALTHY LUNCHES

Our students will be receiving their healthy lunches our first week back.  Please remember to ensure you have contacted the school by tomorrow if your child has any dietary requirements or allergies so that we can pass them onto the suppliers.

GARDEN TO TABLE

“This week was wet but that didn’t stop our tamariki from doing some great learning about the garden. Teams constructed bird feeders, made birdseed “cakes” and learned about why it is important to attract certain birds into our garden and school ecosystem.. In the kitchen Mangōpare were busy making yummy spring rolls and Kaitaki made moreish sweet and sour cauliflower.
This was our last session for the term and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved next term talk to Kate, Anikha or Estelle or email kate@turua.school.nz “
