KIA ORA/GREETINGS TO ALL PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL

I hope that everyone is looking forward to a well deserved break during the school holidays.  Our fingers are crossed that we will return to Alert Level1 on Monday.  The last day of the 2021 school year is Wednesday 15th December.  We will include a full outline of Event Dates for Term 4 in the first newsletter on our return.  The Board have confirmed that the School Year for 2022 will start on Wednesday 2nd February.

TEACHER ONLY DAYS

School will be closed on Friday 19th and Monday 22nd of November as Teachers participate in Teacher Only Days.  These days are provided through  the accord as part of the current Primary Teachers collective agreement .

HATS

A reminder that all students are to wear hats when not in the shade during Terms 3 & 4.  The Board reviewed the policy and removed the requirement for a school hat.  All sun safe hats may be worn but caps are not accepted as sun safe.  Those who do not have hats will play in the shaded areas.

GARDEN TO TABLE

This term has certainly bought some challenges and even though we were in lockdown the garden was growing at a great rate. We’ve been busy using the produce in the kitchen for some vege rich meals. This week to celebrate the end of term we made some Mexican inspired flatbreads with a selection of fixings, including black beans, coleslaw and guacamole. A very tasty and fitting way to end the term.
