SENIOR AWARDS PROGRAMME

This year we are trialing an ‘Awards Programme’ to promote leadership and encourage success in all aspects of school life.

The Awards Programme is a two tier award system based on an accumulation of points.
The badges are Merit and Excellence and are obtainable in the 2 different codes of Citizenship and Academic Achievement.
These can be completed by the Year 6 to 8 students at Turua School within the school year.
Awards will be acknowledged at our End of Year Prize giving.
CITIZENSHIP

A Citizenship Merit Badge is awarded to an individual for the demonstration of participation, our school values and giving dedicated and honest commitment to duties and responsibilities.

To obtain a Citizenship Merit Badge a student needs 10 points

To obtain a Citizenship Excellence Badge a student needs 18 points

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

An Academic Merit Badge is awarded to an individual for the demonstration of academic achievement or significant improvement towards academic achievement.

To obtain an Academic Merit Badge a student needs 10 points

To obtain an Academic Excellence Badge a student needs 18 points
